Day 2, First Day of Spring

Well day two goes off without a hitch. I actually got to the gym in a reasonable time and did a full workout. Here's what I did. 10 min on the elliptical as fast as I could go, leg raises on a bench (20 reps), plank front (30 min), plank each side (15 min), flutter kicks (30 reps), supine bicycle (20 reps), plank with knee to opposite elbow (10 reps). Rest for 30 sec and then go again, total of three circuits. Boy does my butt and hips ache already. But that just shows progress right.

So now that my workout has been posted, I have to talk about something so I am not posting a small paragraph.

I have actually been doing quite a bit of thinking lately on where my future is going. I love my job, the people here are awesome and I am finally appreciated for the work I do but it is no where close to what I went to school for, interior design. There is a chance that I can move from the admin side to a graphic artist position here but it wouldn't be very creative. I mean how creative can you get when you are just replicating a car in Max 3d? Not very but it would help me hone my skills in Photoshop and 3d which can be used elsewhere. Problem is there really aren't that many job in Jacksonville for home interiors. So my plan as it stands is to just keep my eyes on the future and on the wanted ads, while keeping my skills honed by doing some design work in my free time. I have a few ideas on ways to make some money (but keeping it to myself for the time being) and keep up my love for home interiors and crafting. Which leads me to my next topic, finding time. . . .

I know that most of you that are reading this, and thanks for sticking with me this far, are mommas. We have such busy lives. I mean I wake up at 5 am just so I can get a workout in! By the time I work 8-9 hours, get home, feed Aspen and get her ready for bed, it's almost 8 pm. Sometimes we fit dinner in before she is off but it is a struggle. With only an hour or so left before I have to crawl in bed before I passout in the middle of the kitchen, when do I find the time to work on all those passions of mine? It's such a struggle because you become torn between doing the piles of laundry, relaxing on the couch lost in Once Upon A Time, or doing one of the many crafts I have pinned on Pinterest. Usually TV wins, sometimes a late night run wins (which is really nice, when it does happen) or passing out by 9 pm. (By the way, where did all those nights go where I could stay up all hours of the night and still work the next day?) I just needto find more time, or more energy. I am thinking a coffee iv drip!

So another plan of action is in the works. . . Get yo butt in gear woman! Every week I am going to tackle one project that I have been meaning to get to. First, I am going to finish all the projects that I have started but never completed. Oh that may take some time but it has to be done. Plus, I need to work on Marcie's shower and Aspen's first birthday stuff.

Saying out loud (well typing it out, in public view) will make me more motivated because then someone can check up on my lazy butt. Hehehe. Ok back to work. Tell me what you have been lazy about and what you plan to do about it?

So even though I stay at home, I don't have near the time to do all that you mentioned :) But as far as the crafts go, I pick 2 to do each month and then I work on them on the weekends when J can watch the kiddos. I will tell you the older the little ones get the easier it is to accomplish stuff for myself because they can entertain themselves!

Well that's good. Something to look forward to I guess. I am still working on the wall stuff for her room.
